Playing Music For The Carolinas Since 1995
Overview
The Team

William White

William White is the owner/operator of Coastal Carolina Music.  He began his DJ career in 1995 using CD’s and mini-disk.  As the DJ-ing technology has changed, he made the transition with it.  Now all 70,000+ songs and 80,000+ karaoke songs are 100% computerized for optimal sound quality.

What started out as a hobby has now become a full-time career for William. He loves to interact with people and enjoys the personal satisfaction that he made your event rememberable for you and your guest.  William is married with 2 wonderful daughters.  When he’s not playing music, he spends time with his family, friends and helping with miscellaneous non-profits including the MDA and local schools.  He enjoys boating, camping and the outdoors.

Jim Bowers  Jim Bowers

Being a former on-air radio personality with The Breeze radio station, Jim Bowers has over 25 years experience as a full-time professional DJ.  Jim began spinning Vinyl records when he was a teen and later owned his own shag club in Santee, SC.  He was the 2002 Cammy Award nominee for the Best Syndicated Show.  Being a former competitive shagger, he stays on top of what’s hot and what’s not in the shag community.  Jim has the ability to turn an unexcited party into one they will remember for years to come. He’s also available for shag lessons.

 John Dixon
John Dixon
Being a South Carolina native, in fact, never living any place other than the Palmetto State, John was brought up on beach music in the rural tobacco town of Mullins.  After graduating from the College of Charleston in the late 70's, he began his broadcasting career in the Grand Strand including a regular gig at Studebakers (a huge beach music nightclub still in existence today).  Shortly before Hurricane Hugo in 1989, John moved back to Charleston to continue his career in radio.  John was part of The Breeze, South Carolina's Beach, Boogie and Blues Network, helming the afternoon drive for over 2-years.  John's radio experience includes the former Cat Country, QROCK and Gil Kirkman Broadcasting Co. for the past 6-years. He has now introduced the new beach and shag station to Charleston, The Boardwalk.  With John Dixon's vast experience in broadcasting, radio and DJ-ing, he is sure to "bring the party" to whatever your event may be.

Carl Thompson

Carl Thompson started in the music business in 1971 as the lead singer and keyboard player for a very popular band in South Carolina.  Due to the demand of traveling, Carl retired in 1999 to start DJ and Karaoke hosting.  Without a doubt, Carl is a fanatic about music and loves all types including Top 40's, classic rock, country, rock and roll, oldies, beach and shag, 80's, disco and funk to name a few.   Carl thrives on entertaining the crowd through dancing or singer along with those a bit apprehensive during their first karaoke experience and/or appearance.  Carl has an uncanny ability to create a sense of ease for the bride and groom during their wedding reception; while the guest "rock-out" to an unforgettable, enjoyable, entertaining event.
